Broader Reach Program
Broader Reach is a project of the Learn to Sail Program at Armdale Yacht Club. Sailing and community building go hand-in-hand. Sailing is more fun when everyone has access to it and that sailing should be a recreation and passion for all. Lumi Studios’ producer Joyce Liu is working with CBC on a documentary project, to capture how new Canadians explore and learn about Nova Scotia from the ‘Water’ perspective. This project is still in production, updating new content every week from July 2023.

The Broader Reach Program at the Armdale Yacht Club in Halifax is working to increase access to sailing. Joyce Liu got on board and captured stories from the adult program this summer, which is targeted to newcomers.
